An occurrence so traumatic as the Holocaust leaves a clear imprint on each life it touches. Thus, no exploration of psychological aspects of this time period could be complete without an investigation of the psychological ramifications of these atrocities. In this section, we explore the trauma of targeted children separated from their parents, adult victims, and immediate family members of former concentration camp prisoners. Through this examination of the psychological ramifications of the Holocaust, we hope to explore how the atrocities of this period had deep and far-reaching effects beyond the camp liberations.
